Devco Development & Engineering completed a comprehensive underground construction project supporting EV charging station infrastructure. The scope included excavation for hand holes and bore pits, directional boring, multi-conduit installation, trenching, utility pad construction, and full asphalt restoration.

Excavation & Site Preparation

• Excavated for five (5) hand holes and two (2) directional bore pits.
• Saw cut all asphalt concrete areas along designated conduit routes.
• Provided steel trench plates for excavation areas outside fenced zones.
• Installed plywood protection for trenches and bore pits within fenced areas.

Hand Hole Installation

• Set up to five (5) customer-provided hand holes.
• Installed rock base at each hand hole location for proper drainage and stability.

Directional Boring Operations

• Directionally bored approximately 85 linear feet.
• Installed six (6) 1.5-inch PVC conduits via pullback method.
• Provided trucking and haul-off of spoils and debris from bore pit excavations.

Open Trenching & Conduit Installation

• Open trenched approximately 70 linear feet from utility pad to building.
• Installed:
  • (7) 4-inch conduits
  • (2) 1.5-inch conduits
• Open trenched approximately 120 linear feet through asphalt for four (4) EV charging stations.
• Installed six (6) 1.5-inch conduits within EV charging trench alignment.
• Blew ¾-inch mule tape into all newly installed conduits.

Utility Pad & Foundations

• Excavated and poured utility pad measuring approximately 35’ x 7’ x 1’.
• Poured four (4) EV charging equipment pads.
• Excavated and poured two (2) H-frame foundations within utility pad area.

Backfill & Asphalt Restoration

• Base paved directional bore pits and trench areas.
• Completed grind and cap asphalt restoration.
• Repaved approximately 120 linear feet of trench area serving EV charging stations.

Project Outcome

The project was delivered safely and efficiently, supporting the installation of multiple EV charging stations with precise conduit placement, structural concrete work, and professional asphalt restoration. Devco maintained organized site operations and quality workmanship throughout all phases of construction.
