STEP 1: Verify Your Eligibility
Meet the requirements for the apprenticeship you’re interested in, and you’re on your way to being considered for the program.
✓ DoD SkillBridge Qualifications as per DODI 1322.29
✓ Served at least 180 days on active duty
✓ Is within 12 months of separation or retirement
✓ Will receive an honorable discharge
✓ Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
✓ Has attended or participated in an ethics brief within the last 12 months
✓ Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.
Education Requirements:
✓ High School Diploma
✓ Satisfactory score on aptitude assessment (Wonderlic)

The Devco Development & Engineering Apprenticeship offers transitioning service members a unique chance to gain essential civilian work experience in the field of Development, Construction and engineering during their final six months of service, for a period of up to 180 days.
With Devco’s Apprenticeship, You’ll:

The Devco Development & Engineering Apprenticeship offers comprehensive training programs designed to prepare candidates for four distinct careers in the fields of Development and Engineering. Our opportunities encompass roles in Machinery Operation, Project Management, Site Supervision, and Technical Support within the construction and engineering sectors.
This immersive program includes an 8 to 12-week hands-on pre-apprentice training, conducted in a practical, on-site environment. Upon successful completion, candidates become eligible for a 12-month apprenticeship where they can apply their skills in real-world scenarios. The program is structured to provide valuable work experience and professional development, equipping participants for a thriving career in the dynamic world of Development and Engineering.
SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Devco, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as Active-duty service members.
