Project Scope – Utility and Trenching Work

1. 1. Utility Marking
      

       

      • • Devco will secure the required USA Dig Alert ticket to identify public underground utilities on the property.

1. 1. Utility Verification
      

       

      • • Devco will confirm utility locations by carefully hand-digging (potholing) where utilities cross or run next to the planned trench. A private locator, provided by others, will mark these spots.

1. Excavation & Trenching
   

    

   • • Devco will dig a trench about 70 feet long and 7 feet deep, with proper slope for safety.
   • • Devco will saw-cut where needed.
   • • Sand will be supplied for utility protection.
   • • Plywood will be used to cover open trenches during the project.
   • • Debris will be hauled off by Devco.
   • • Devco will dig the trench, wait for installation work by others, then backfill after installation is done.
   • Shoring will be provided to keep the trench safe.
